In Memoriam: Harvey Burns

"Yesterday I received the message that our colleague Harvey Burns is not with us any more. I realize with sadness, that we lost a gifted colleague, who has made a great contribution to our community in the field of practice and the field of teaching.

I will never forget the quality of Harvey's touch. In our work touch is something personal and always unique, like the sound that we create in music.

Touch can be similar to language, without being language in the proper sense. And touch of the human body can be applied with an almost artistic flavor. I learned that from my colleague Harvey Burns. He had the gift to accompany his clients and his students at a deep journey in the cosmos of touch.

Obviously it was easy for him to open the awareness of his clients to their own inner world and to motivate his  students for a higher level of perception.

I personally loose an inspiring colleague for dialogues about Structural Integration and also for talks about Jazz and Classical Music. Both dialogues connected us for a time span of 40 years."
