Athletes bring a unique set of opportunities and challenges to the Rolfer®. While they seek improved performance and relief from discomforts that limit their training, practitioners must also navigate how to address these immediate concerns while maintaining the integrity of Rolfing’s systematic approach to structural integration. A central challenge is finding the balance between meeting an athlete’s primary complaint quickly and supporting whole-body organization.

This three-day workshop will explore these challenges in depth and offer creative, practical strategies for resolving them. Participants will learn how to use an athlete’s primary complaint as an entry point for assessing whole-body patterns, developing treatment strategies that both honour Rolfing principles and address the issues most important to the athlete. Emphasis will be placed on helping clients discover the broader, sometimes unexpected, benefits that arise from structural integration work.
Discussion and hands-on exploration will draw from participants’ own experiences and needs. Topics include: presenting and explaining the benefits of Rolfing to athletes; planning appropriate session formats and treatment frequency for athletes at various levels of competition; and coordinating effectively with coaches, trainers, and other practitioners involved in the athlete’s care.
Join this workshop to strengthen your skills, deepen your understanding, and bring a refined Rolfing perspective to the dynamic world of athletic performance.
